Nate Hendley: Mounties, Marriage, and Murder

John Wilson emigrated from Scotland to the Prairies in 1912, joined the Royal North-West Mounted Police (RNWMP) and fell in love with a Canadian woman named Jessie. Then, his wife, Mary, whom he had abandoned in Scotland along with his children, unexpectedly showed up in Saskatchewan. Mary soon disappeared and Wilson went from Mountie to murder suspect. Author and freelance journalist, Nate Hendley, takes a look at a Canadian true-life murder mystery on the Prairies involving a double-crossing police officer, providing a glimpse behind the carefully polished image of the Mounties, to reveal a duplicitous liar who tried to get away with murder.
